Welcome to the N.H.K (Novel)

I have just finished reading the novel and I have to say I quite enjoyed it.
But I think my enjoyment was diminished since I had already watched the anime and I’m reading the manga. I was expecting to read some new contents, but everything that was in the novel, I had already seen in the anime and/or in the manga. I was a bit disappointed on that part, but I guess that was to be expected !

I read the Tokyopop edition in English and I was glad to see they kept words like “hikikomori”, “lolicon”, “otaku”, etc… while leaving a lexicon at the end of the book, so you can check it everytime you don’t understand a word.

Anyways, I think the novel is worth the time especially if you haven’t watched the anime or read the manga. But even if you have, it’s still another good way to look at the story. Plus it’s rather short and easy to read ! So why not give it a try?

Haruhi Light Novels in English … in 2009

Little, Brown Books will start publishing Suzumiya Haruhi light novels in April 2009 ! It is truly far away, but still ! I was overjoyed when I read this news
